Before adding your products, you’ll need to set up your shipping templates on Walmart’s end. Here’s how:
- On the Walmart Seller Center, go to Settings > Seller Fulfillment.
- Select the General Shipping tab.
a. There, you’ll need to set up the Standard Processing Schedule. We suggest setting the cutoff time at midnight (12 AM CST).
b. And you’ll need to select the valid delivery days under Weekend Delivery and Additional Days Off. We suggest keeping Walmart’s default options without weekend delivery.
- Next, set up your shipping template by clicking on the Shipping Templates tab.
4. First, you’ll have to decide if you want the shipping costs to be included in the product’s retail price to offer free shipping, or if you want to have shipping rates.
a. If you choose that the shipping costs are included in the product’s retail price, you’ll need to set up a free shipping template.
i. Click on Create Shipping Template > Manual Shipping Settings.
ii. Here, you can fill out all of the necessary information for the shipping template:
1. Select your shipping rate model. We suggest using The weight of the total order option.
2. Click Edit Template Name to set the name for your shipping template.
3. Under Shipping Methods and Regions, choose one shipping method to enable. We suggest using the Value method and disabling the rest.
4. If you have selected the Value method, the free shipping settings will be already set up by default. You can change the transit time to the shipping speed Printful provides for the product category on which you’ll use the shipping template.
5. Save the template, and you’re set.
b. If you want to set up shipping costs according to Printful costs and charge a shipping fee to your customers separately, you’ll need to create a special template.
i. In Shipping Templates, click on Set up special template > Paid Standard Template.
ii. Then, you’ll need to fill out all the necessary information for the shipping template:
1. Select your shipping rate model. We suggest using The weight of the total order option.
2. Click on Edit Template Name to set the name for your shipping template.
3. Add the transit times and shipping costs according to Printful prices and shipping estimates.
4. Save the template, and you’re done.
5. Next, you’ll need to assign your products to the correct shipping profiles.
a. Go to Items > Manage Items > Update Items.
b. Mark your items as Seller Fulfilled and By template, and download the Shipping Template SKU mapping.
c. Open the downloaded template and fill it in. Here, you’ll need to map your product SKUs to Shipping template ID and Fulfillment Center ID. You can find your Shipping template IDs and Fulfillment center IDs here. Then, in the Action Type column, enter Add.
d. Upload the completed file to Walmart.
e. Select Bulk Mapping SKUs to Shipping Template and click submit.
