We’re restructuring our Charlotte facilities to streamline operations. On August 19, we’re closing our Charlotte Steele Point facility, moving our warehousing service to our Dallas facility and fulfillment operations to our Charlotte Westlake facility.
Starting June 3, we’ll start accepting new stock and fulfilling warehousing orders from our facility in Dallas, Texas. From June 3 until August 19, we’ll be gradually moving your warehousing stock from Steele Point to Dallas.
Why the move?
We’re moving because our Dallas facility has the space and flexibility to expand our warehousing and fulfillment capacity and offer more efficient services.
How it affects you
- From June 3 until August 19, slower fulfillment times for warehousing orders are expected, reaching 3–5 business days instead of our standard next-day fulfillment. The fulfillment times for stocking new inventory and returns won’t be affected.
- While we move your stock, we won’t be able to add your pack-ins and custom packaging to your orders. The interruptions are expected to start in mid-July and last for 3–6 weeks.
- Tangible personal property (including inventory) stored for a certain period of time in Texas is subject to Business Personal Property Tax (BPP tax). You, as the owner of goods, will have to assess and report it to the state of Texas on a yearly basis and pay the applicable tax. Learn more
What you should do
- Starting June 3, send new inventory to the Dallas warehouse: 217 Wrangler Drive, Coppell, Texas 75019. From June 3 to July 1, we’ll be gradually removing the Steele Point location from the Warehouse Dashboard for all customers.
- If you don’t qualify for tax exemptions, you’ll need to register as a taxpayer in Texas and file a yearly BPP report.
- If you don’t want us to move your warehousing stock to Dallas, you can request stock removal by emailing warehousing@printful.com by May 31. Please note that if by May 31, we don’t receive all the necessary information to start the stock removal process, we’ll move your stock to Texas regardless of your request.
