Yes, but it depends on the context. There are a few different cases in which measurement units appear in Printful, and each is handled differently.
Size guide measurements
When you're pushing a product to your store, you can select the unit system for the size guide—metric (cm) or imperial (in). This choice determines how product measurements are displayed to your customers.
If you want to change the measurement units after the product has already been published, you have two options:
- Delete and republish the product with the preferred unit system
- Manually update the product details directly from your store platform
Products with measurement units in variant names
Products like Mugs, where variant names include fixed measurements (e.g., 11 oz, 15 oz, 20 oz), the measurement units cannot be changed from within Printful. If you'd like to display different units (such as milliliters instead of ounces), you can:
- Manually convert the measurements to your preferred unit system
- Create the product directly on your store platform with your custom variant names
- Import the product to Printful and manually sync it with the correct Printful product and variants
An exception are the Matte Paper Posters, they’re available in two separate versions, one with sizes in centimeters (cm) and one with sizes in inches (in). You can choose the appropriate version during product selection to match your preferred measurement system for variant names. For example:
Design file measurements
Design file dimensions found in the File guidelines tab are shown in either inches or centimeters based on your geolocation when visiting the Printful website. This setting can’t be changed manually, but it doesn’t affect how your files are printed, just how measurements are displayed to you.
