Yes, they can! When a customer checks the “Mark as gift” box during Etsy checkout and includes a personalized gift message, Printful automatically imports it. The message is printed directly onto the packing slip included in the package, making gift-giving seamless and entirely hands-off for you.
What’s included on the packing slip?
Printful packing slips are white-label, meaning there’s no Printful branding; only your store information is shown. Here’s what your customers will see:
- Gift message: If the customer adds one, it will be printed automatically.
- Product details: A list of all items in the order, including your store’s product titles.
- Shipment notes: If an order is split into multiple shipments, this will be mentioned.
- Return address: By default, the return address is Printful’s, but you can change it in your settings.
- Your logo (optional): You can upload a black-and-white version in your Printful Branding settings.
- Personalized message (optional): You can include a custom message with every order in your Branding settings.
A few exceptions to know
- Prices are never shown on the packing slip.
- International orders will display the item value on the customs form due to shipping laws.
- Packing slip won’t be included if the order is routed to certain backup or partner facilities.
- California orders may include a Proposition 65 warning label, depending on the product.
