How to match Wix shipping rates with Printful flat rates?

To align your Wix store’s shipping costs with Printful’s flat-rate fees, we recommend using the Rate by Weight setting. Here’s how to set it up efficiently so your checkout shipping fees stay accurate and fair.

What do I need before adjusting shipping rates?

Before configuring your shipping rates, confirm that you:

Successfully connected your Wix store with Printful.
Are using a Business & eCommerce Premium plan (Core, Business, or Business Elite).
Have the Wix Stores app installed on your site.

How do I prepare my product weights in Wix?

Go to your Wix Dashboard → Store Products.
Open an existing product.
Scroll to the Manage variants section and click Edit, add a weight to the Shipping weight fields (e.g., 1 lb for t‑shirts, 2 lb for posters).
- These weights are for Wix’s shipping calculation only—they won’t display to customers, nor affect Printful’s shipping costs.

How do I set up shipping by weight in Wix?

In your Wix Dashboard, go to Settings → Shipping, delivery & fulfillment.
Choose an existing region (Domestic or International) or click Add Region to create a new one.
Under Shipping rates for that region:
- Select Rate by Weight from the options.
- Add weight ranges and corresponding rates (e.g., 0–1 lb = $5, 1–2 lb = $8).
- Optionally, set conditions like free shipping over a certain order value.
Repeat this process for each shipping region you support.
- Each region needs its own weight-based settings.

Why Rate by Weight works best with Printful

Printful uses consistent flat-rate shipping tiers based on product category (e.g., t‑shirts in the U.S. ship for around $4.49, additional items +$2.10)
By assigning product weights and defining weight-based ranges in Wix, you can mirror those flat rates approximately.
This makes shipping costs at checkout more predictable and profitable for you.

Pro tip for multi-item orders

Make sure your weight ranges account for combined product weights. For example:

0–1 lb → $5
1–2 lb → $8
2 lb + → $10

This ensures customers paying for multiple items see fair shipping charges reflecting real shipping costs. Learn more about how Printful charges shipping for different types of orders here.
