In this article, you’ll learn what goes into Printful’s product pricing, including what’s included in the base price, what costs extra, how regional fulfillment affects pricing, and how currency conversions can impact the final amount you pay.
What’s included in the product price?
The base price you see in the Printful product catalog includes:
- The blank product.
- Single print area customization (e.g., front or back print using DTG or embroidery).
- Mockup previews and downloadables (with a connected store).
Extras—like custom inside labels, additional print areas, unlimited color embroidery—come with an added cost. You can see those pricing details when customizing your product.
What’s not included?
- Shipping costs (calculated separately at checkout).
- Taxes, if applicable.
- Embroidery digitization fee.
- Additional print placements.
- Fee for using Premium Images in your design.
- Custom inside label.
Larger sizes (2XL and up) need more fabric and resources to produce. That’s why each size above 2XL has an added cost—to help cover those extra materials and production expenses.
Orders shipped outside the US may be subject to customs fees based on your customer’s location. These fees are calculated by local customs authorities and must be paid by the end customer.
Regional pricing and fulfillment
We price our products based on the region they’re fulfilled in—like Europe, the USA, Japan, Australia, or Brazil—so they stay competitive in each market.
That means the same product might have slightly different base prices depending on where it’s fulfilled.
Currency conversions and pricing differences
If you’re paying in one currency (like EUR) and your product is being fulfilled in a different region (like the US), we convert the local price (USD) into your chosen currency (EUR). Because of this, you might notice small fluctuations in pricing due to:
- Exchange rates.
- Regional pricing variations.
Orders fulfilled in the same region and currency as the shipping address will have fixed pricing—not affected by currency exchange rates or regional pricing differences.
