How do I create AI mockups in Printful?
AI mockups place your existing designs in realistic lifestyle scenes, right inside Printful, with no extra tools needed. Rather than replacing the mockups you already use, they add variety: you can show your products in different settings, on different models, or in a different mood.
Note
AI mockups are currently available for select apparel products, and only when you’re creating a new product. We’re working on expanding support to more products.
Step 1: Create a product
- Choose an apparel product from the Printful catalog and click Start designing.
- In the Design Maker, upload a new design or choose an existing one.
- Adjust the design’s placement so it’s ready for mockup generation.
- Click Publish to go to the next step.
Step 2: Generate an AI mockup
- When the Mockup library opens, select the AI mockups tab.
- Click Generate with AI.
- In the Generate mockup with AI panel, choose a mockup type:
- With model shows your product worn by a model.
- Isolated product shows your product on its own.
- Customize your mockup using the available settings and click Generate.
When your mockup is ready, you’ll see a confirmation message. From there, you can:
- Click Select mockup to use it for your product.
- Click Regenerate to create a new variation with the same settings.
Note
You get 10 AI mockup attempts each day.
Step 3: Publish to the store
Once you’ve selected your mockup, finish setting up your product and publish it to your store.
