Why can’t I connect my Squarespace store to Printful?
A Squarespace store can only be connected to one Printful account at a time. If your store is already connected to another Printful account, remove it from that account first: log in to the other account and go to Settings → Store settings → General → Remove store. Then connect the store again from your current account.
If your store isn’t connected anywhere else, try clearing your browser’s cache and cookies, or connect from a different browser, an incognito window, or another device. Make sure you follow each step in How do I connect Squarespace with Printful?
Why do I see “Resolve store sync issues to continue publishing”?
If the Add product button in Printful is grayed out with this message, your Squarespace website most likely doesn’t have a store page. Printful adds your products to a Squarespace store page, so without one, there’s nowhere to publish them.
You’ll need a dedicated store page even if your website already has a shop-style layout. To fix this publishing error, create a store page in Squarespace.
Log in to Squarespace, open your website, and follow the steps for your version:
- Squarespace version 7.1:
- In the Pages panel, click the + icon.
- Select Products, then click Store.
- Pick a layout.
- Squarespace version 7.0:
- In the Pages panel, click the + icon.
- Select Store or Products.
- Add a page title and press Enter.
Then refresh your store data and publish again:
- In your Printful Dashboard, go to Stores.
- Find your Squarespace store and click Options.
- Select Refresh data.
- Publish your product again. On the Add details page, select your new store page.
What do I do if my Squarespace store has a sync error?
If your store has a sync error, such as “Invalid response,” you won’t be able to publish products until it’s fixed. You’ll see the error in your Printful Dashboard under Stores → View store, or under My products → Published.
If the error message includes a Reconnect button, click it to restore the connection, then try publishing again.
Why did my product fail to publish to Squarespace?
If your store is connected and has a store page but a product still fails to publish, check that:
- Your product has fewer than 100 variants. Products with more variants can’t be published to Squarespace. Remove some colors or sizes and try again.
- You haven’t selected too many mockups. Select fewer mockups and try publishing again later.
If neither applies, publish a fresh copy of the product:
- If you published from a product template: duplicate the template and publish the copy.
- If you published directly from the catalog: create the product again, save it as a product template, and publish that template.
Why didn’t my Squarespace test order import to Printful?
Orders placed with Squarespace’s test order feature won’t import to Printful. This is expected behavior. To check whether an order is a test order, look for a small blue Test label next to the order number in your Squarespace order list.
If you want to test the integration, place a real order instead. Before you do, turn off automatic order fulfillment in your Printful settings so the order doesn’t go into fulfillment before you can cancel it.
Why isn’t my Squarespace order showing up in Printful?
For an order to import automatically, it needs to meet these conditions in Squarespace:
- It’s paid.
- It has a unique order number.
- It has a shipping address. Orders with local pickup or only a billing address won’t import.
- Its status is Pending.
The products in the order also need to be synced with Printful. If they show as Not synced in your Printful account, turn on Import unsynced orders in your store’s import settings.
Once these conditions are met, go to Stores, click the three-dot menu next to your Squarespace store, and select Refresh data to import the order.
If the order is urgent, you can place it manually in Printful. Use the same order number as in Squarespace so the order isn’t imported twice later.
