We offer eco-friendly products that adhere to recognized sustainability standards. Our eco-friendly apparel contains a minimum of 70% organic or recycled materials, and our beauty products are certified natural. But how do we make sure these claims are real?
Printful requires all suppliers to provide valid third-party certificates verifying material content and sourcing practices. Here’s how we do it:
For apparel products
We accept only globally recognized certifications:
GOTS (Global Organic Textile Standard)
- The leading certification for organic textiles
- Ensures ecological and social responsibility throughout the supply chain
- Limits what non-organic fibers can be blended with certified organic fibers
OCS (Organic Content Standard)
- Confirms the presence and amount of organic material in non-food goods
- Tracks the material from its source to the final product
GRS (Global Recycled Standard) and RCS (Recycled Claim Standard)
- Both verify the content and chain of custody for recycled materials
- GRS adds extra requirements for social and environmental practices, including chemical restrictions
- RCS focuses solely on confirming the recycled content
For beauty products
We require Ecocert COSMOS certification:
Ecocert COSMOS
- Confirms that the product contains an average of 99% ingredients of natural origin
- Prohibits ingredients like GMOs, petrochemicals (parabens, phenoxyethanol), synthetic colorants, and perfumes
- Verifies the entire production chain, including composition, processing, and packaging
- Ensures environmentally friendly and biodiversity-respecting practices
These certifications provide assurance to both us and you that our eco-friendly product claims are authentic and responsibly supported.
