Yes! You can easily make changes to your order after submitting it, as long as it hasn’t entered the fulfillment stage yet.

Check your order status
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders.
- Click on the order you want to edit.
- Look at the status at the top of the order.
If changes are still possible, you’ll see a Change order option at the bottom of the order view.
How to update a design file in a submitted order
If you need to change a design graphic on an order you already placed, it’s best to update it directly from your Printful Dashboard.
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders, and open the order you need to edit.
- Click Change order at the bottom of the order view (see screenshot above).
- Click Edit under the product you need to change the design for.
- In the Layers tab of the Design Maker, click the 3 dots next to your graphic and click Delete.
- Upload your new artwork by dragging it directly onto the product mockup area, or select it from your file library by clicking Uploads on the left-hand side. Position the graphic safely within the print area.
- Click Continue, then continue to shipping, and make sure all the required fields are filled. Proceed until you see the order has been updated. If done correctly, you should receive a prompt for an order update.
How to change the product size or color in a submitted order
If your order hasn’t started fulfillment, and you would like to change its color or size:
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders, and open the order you need to edit.
- Click Change order at the bottom of the order view.
- Edit the product size or color by clicking Change next to either of these attributes.
- In the pop-up window, choose a color and/or size, and confirm your choice by clicking Change.
- Click Continue and proceed through checkout until you see that the order has been updated. If done correctly, you should receive a prompt for an order update.
How to remove or change the product in a submitted order
Remove a product or change the product itself (remove the existing product and add a new one):
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders, and open the order you need to edit.
- Click Change order at the bottom of the order view.
- Click Remove under the product.
- If you'd like to add a different product in its place, click Add product.
- Click Continue, then continue to shipping, and make sure all the required fields are filled. Proceed until you see the order has been updated. If done correctly, you should receive a prompt for an order update
How to change the address or shipping method for a submitted order
You can change the delivery address or choose a different shipping method (if available), even if your order has already started fulfillment. Product changes won’t be available at this point, but you may still see a Change address button.
To update the delivery address:
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders, and open the order you need to edit.
- Click Change address at the bottom of the order view.
- Edit the Shipping address and select the Shipping method. If you're looking for express shipping options, make sure you have entered a valid phone number in the address field.
- Continue to Review and pay, and click Update order to confirm the changes.
How to cancel a submitted order
If your order status is still “Waiting for fulfillment”, you can cancel it for a full refund.
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Orders, and open the order.
- If available, click the three-dot menu at the bottom.
- Select Cancel order.
Important things to know
- You can’t change or cancel orders once the status is “Being fulfilled” or “Fulfilled”.
- Putting an order “On Hold” or changing the product resets the fulfillment deadline.
- Changing the shipping address or method does not reset the fulfillment deadline.
- If your order is fulfilled by a fulfillment partner, changes aren’t possible after submission.
