Printful is required by law to charge an 9% GST (goods and service tax) for orders with a delivery address in Singapore.
The formula we use to calculate GST on orders going to Singapore is (retail product price + shipping + services)*9%. If the retail price isn’t known, we’ll use the Printful price.
The Singapore GST will also be charged for Printful Pro and Printful Plus subscription purchases if you’re located in Singapore.
GST won’t be applied to orders where a single item retail price for each item (or Printful price if the retail price isn’t available) is over S$400 (approx. $295 or €277). In this case, your customers will have to pay GST and customs fees when the order arrives in Singapore.
Another GST exemption applies to your warehousing orders. If your order to Singapore contains only the items sent from our warehouses, GST won’t be applied to this order. However, if your order contains both print-on-demand and warehousing items outside Singapore, all items in the order will be charged GST.
Printful won’t charge you Singapore GST if your business is registered for GST in Singapore, you have a valid Singapore GST registration number and certificate, and you’ve submitted them to Printful.
Here’s how to submit your Singapore GST ID to Printful:
- Go to your Printful Dashboard
- Go to Billing > Singapore GST
- Click Add certificate
- Fill in the information needed, and press Submit
Once you submit your Singapore GST ID number and certificate, we’ll review it in about 2 business days. We’ll let you know if your certificate has been approved or rejected.
Please note, that you’ll be exempt from Singapore GST charges only for orders placed after we review and approve your GST certificate.
