If you’ve updated your product design in Printful but not all the mockups are displaying the changes on your Squarespace storefront, don’t worry; there's a common and easily resolvable reason for this.
What’s happening?
When you add a product with multiple color options (like black and white) from Printful to your Squarespace store, Printful automatically assigns only one mockup per color variant to represent it.
If you added extra mockups during product setup, for example, lifestyle images or alternate angles, they will still show up in your Squarespace storefront. However, they are not linked to specific color variants, and won’t automatically update if you change the product design later.
Example
-
You push a t-shirt to Squarespace with:
- Two color variants: black and white
- Two mockups for each color (front and back)
-
What Printful does:
- Assigns one mockup to the black t-shirt variant (e.g., front view)
- Assigns one mockup to the white t-shirt variant (e.g., front view)
- The other mockups (e.g., back views) are displayed on your storefront, but not tied to a specific color
-
Later, if you update the design in Printful:
- Only the mockups directly assigned to each variant (the front views) will update
- The back-view images remain unchanged unless manually updated
How to fix it
To get all your product images up to date:
- Go to your Squarespace Dashboard
- Navigate to Commerce → Inventory
- Click the product you want to update
- Add or replace images manually for each variant
This ensures all mockups reflect your latest design, no matter how many you’ve uploaded originally.
