Updated on September 12, 2025.
Starting August 29, 2025, the US government removed the de minimis duty-free threshold. This means most imports now face customs duties, and foreign postal operators must collect and pay them before parcels can enter the US. Many carriers aren’t yet ready, causing suspensions, delays, and undeliverable shipments.
US-bound orders from EU facilities have resumed
As of September 11, 2025, we’ve resumed accepting and fulfilling US-bound orders from our EU facilities.
For the time being, US-bound orders that contain only product variants fulfilled in the US or outside the EU, but are currently out of stock (OOS) in US facilities, will not be routed elsewhere. Instead, they’ll remain on hold until the stock arrives. In this case, you can choose to:
- Switch to a different product
- Wait for restock
- Cancel the order
What this means for you
- No extra costs for you or your customers.
- Orders fulfilled in US facilities remain unaffected.
- Orders fulfilled in EU facilities can once again be shipped to US customers without disruption.
- In case a US-bound order includes products from both unaffected and affected facilities, we’ll fulfill the available items as usual, while placing the out-of-stock or restricted items on hold until they can be dispatched or restocked.
How we’re reducing disruptions
- We’ll continue routing all possible orders to our US-based facilities to keep deliveries smooth and avoid customs issues.
- Wherever possible, we’ll switch to DDP (Delivered Duty Paid) solutions to reduce the risks of rejected or delayed parcels. DDP means all import duties are paid upfront, reducing the risk of delays or rejections.
To ensure faster shipping and to avoid customs or import taxes, we recommend you review your product availability. It’s always a good idea to prioritize offering products that can be fulfilled in your target market region or are available in multiple regions.
