You can configure and sync products using either the push generator or manual sync, depending on your workflow. Here’s how to do both:
Option 1: Push generator
- In your Printful Dashboard, start by accessing your WooCommerce store
- Go to Stores → your WooCommerce store → Add product, or
- Go to My products → your WooCommerce store → Published → Create product
- These paths may vary depending on your Dashboard interface, but both let you create and sync a new product.
- The Design Maker will open, letting you customize your product. Choose the category, model, available colors, and sizes. This tool makes it easy to preview how your final product will look while you customize it.
- Upload your design and adjust the placement and scale.
- Click either Proceed to pricing or Continue, depending on which Dashboard interface you’re using.
- Choose your main mockup image or use the custom mockup maker.
- Add your product title and description. You can customize the copy or adjust pre-written descriptions to match your brand voice. Optionally, check a box to include information about print-on-demand manufacturing benefits and add a size guide.
- Set your retail prices:
- The fulfillment cost is shown for each variant
- Choose your own profit or enter it per variant
- You can update all variants at once if needed
- If you want the product to immediately show in your store, enable Product visibility. If unchecked, it syncs but stays hidden.
- Assign the product to any collections or categories you want.
- Click Submit to store.
Your item will appear in WooCommerce’s Products tab after syncing.
Option 2: Manual sync
- Create a new product directly in WooCommerce.
- Make sure the Import not synced products from WooCommerce toggle is turned on in your Printful Dashboard settings; this allows Printful to detect and pull in unsynced products from your store.
- In Printful, go to your Stores or My products page and click Refresh data to pull in newly created products from your store if they’re not there already.
- Click Edit or Sync on the newly imported product.
- Configure the product by assigning category, model, color, size, and upload your design and mockups.
