When a customer places a paid order in your WooCommerce store, it typically takes up to 30 minutes to sync with Printful. Only orders with the status Processing are imported to ensure we only fulfill completed purchases.
What to expect
- Sync timeframe: Most orders appear in Printful within seconds. However, during times of increased activity on either WooCommerce or Printful’s systems, syncing may take up to 30 minutes.
- Notification: You’ll receive an email as soon as Printful imports the order.
- Order status requirement: Only orders with the Processing status are eligible for fulfillment.
Troubleshooting order sync delays
If your WooCommerce order hasn’t appeared in Printful after 30 minutes:
-
Check the order status: Make sure it’s marked correctly; unpaid or pending orders won’t be imported.
It’s possible to change the order status on WooCommerce manually from the dropdown menu if the status isn’t Processing.
- Check your integration: If it’s inactive, go to Printful plugin → Reconnect using the OAuth flow. This refreshes the secure token that manages API access.
- Refresh data: If you’ve recently synced new or edited products, go to Printful Dashboard → Stores → your WooCommerce store → click Refresh data. Unsynced products can block order import.
- Plugin conflicts: Deactivate caching or security plugins temporarily to rule out interference with API calls.
- Platform delays: Rare platform-specific delays (e.g., WordPress or WooCommerce server issues) may impact sync timing.
Fulfillment and shipping timeline
Once an order appears in Printful:
- Fulfillment usually takes 2–5 business days.
- Orders are then shipped, with delivery times depending on shipping speed and destination.
- Tracking information is added within 24 hours of the order being shipped.
