If you store items at our Latvia warehouse through Warehousing & Fulfillment, there are specific VAT rules you should be aware of. Because your inventory is stored within the EU, this can impact your VAT obligations, even if your business is based outside the EU.
Why VAT applies to stored products
When you store goods in Latvia, you may be required to register for VAT in Latvia. This requirement is based on the physical location of your inventory, not your sales volume.
If you are VAT-registered in Latvia, you’ll need to charge VAT on all orders shipping to EU countries, including orders that don’t involve warehoused products.
How Printful applies VAT to warehousing services
| Service | VAT rate | Details |
| Storage fees | 21% | Applied monthly for warehoused products |
| Fulfillment & shipping fees | Varies | Depends on your VAT status and shipping destination within the EU |
- Storage fees are charged with Latvia’s standard VAT rate (21%).
- Fulfillment and shipping fees depend on whether you’ve submitted your VAT ID and where the order is being shipped.
