Keeping your Printful integration up to date ensures you have access to the latest features and bug fixes. Follow these steps to safely update your PrestaShop module.
Step 1: Prepare your store for the update
Before updating, it’s best to:
- Confirm the new module version is compatible with your PrestaShop and PHP versions
- Test in a staging or development environment first
- Backup your module settings (for example, take screenshots), and export module files via FTP if needed
- Put your store into maintenance mode to avoid disruption
Step 2: Update the module
You can update the Printful module in one of two ways:
A. Through Back Office if linked to PrestaShop Addons
- Go to Modules → Module Manager
- Find the Printful module
- If an update is available, click Update from the dropdown menu
B. Manual upload using a ZIP file
If you prefer or need to update manually:
- Download the latest Printful module .zip file
- Go to Modules → Module Catalog in your PrestaShop Dashboard
- Click Upload a Module, upload the .zip, and select Configure
- Your existing settings will be retained if you do not uninstall the module first
Step 3: Final checks after updating
- Clear PrestaShop cache from Advanced Parameters → Performance
- Clear your browser cache to ensure you see the updated module behavior
- Open the module configuration screen and resave your settings to finalize the update
- Review your store’s key functions (e.g., product push, sync, shipping) to ensure everything is working properly
