Updating the mockups on your product listings is a great way to keep your store looking fresh and to show off your products in the best light.
You can update your product mockups through your store integration or manually, depending on the platform you’re using.
Adding new mockups for Shopify, Etsy, Squarespace, WooCommerce, or Wix store?
If you’re using one of these integrations, you can update your mockups directly through your store on the Printful Dashboard.
- Go to Stores, choose your store, and click View store.
- Select the product you want to update and click Edit.
- Select all the product variants and click Change print file.
- In the Design Maker view, don’t make any changes to your design. Just click Proceed to mockups.
- Choose the mockups you want to display on your storefront. Click the star symbol on a mockup preview to set it as your primary mockup image.
- Make sure the Published updated mockups toggle is enabled, click Continue.
- Wait for the images to upload.
How can I manually add new mockups?
If your integration doesn’t support automatic mockup updates, you can add them manually:
- Locate your product, click Edit, then click Download mockups.
- Go to your store on your ecommerce platform.
- Upload the new mockups to the product listing.
Another option is to recreate the product:
- On your ecommerce platform, delete the product listing.
- Go to Stores on your Printful Dashboard, select your store, and click Add product.
- Find the product, add your design, and pick your new mockups.
- Complete the steps to add the product back to your store.
When should I change my mockups?
It’s a good idea to switch up your mockups regularly to keep your store engaging and test what visuals perform best. You can also take advantage of themed mockups to match holidays or sales events, like Valentine’s Day or Halloween.
We also review our mockups to ensure they accurately represent the product. If we update any mockups you’re using, we’ll notify you of the changes. When that happens, you should reupload your mockups to keep everything up to date.
