Connecting your eBay store with Printful lets you sell print-on-demand products directly on one of the world’s largest online marketplaces. Once set up, orders from your eBay store will be automatically fulfilled by Printful, so you can focus on creating and selling. Here’s how to get started.
1. Create and activate your eBay account
If you don’t already have an eBay seller account:
- Go to eBay.com and sign up as a seller.
- Complete Managed Payments setup. eBay will ask for your bank account details.
- If you’re a new seller without active listings, create a placeholder listing to activate your account. This triggers eBay’s identity verification. You can delete the listing later.
- Make sure your account meets eBay’s selling requirements, including limits for new sellers (usually 10 variants per listing and up to $500 total retail value).
2. Log in or create your Printful account
If you’re not already a Printful user, sign up for free. Your Printful account is where you’ll create products, set prices, and manage fulfillment.
3. Connect your store
- In your Printful Dashboard, go to Stores or Start selling.
- Click Choose platform, then select eBay.
- Click Connect to eBay.
- Sign in to your eBay seller account and approve Printful’s access.
- You’ll return to Printful to finish setup; choose your brand name, confirm handling time (5 days is set by default), and review settings.
4. Set up shipping and taxes
-
eBay with Printful only supports flat-rate shipping. When you connect your store, Printful will automatically create shipping policies with our rates and assign them to your synced products.
If you want to change the shipping prices, we recommend creating new shipping policies in your eBay settings instead of editing the ones created by Printful. This helps avoid conflicts or issues during future product syncs.
- If needed, configure your Sales Tax Table in eBay’s Seller Hub under Selling preferences → Payments from buyers → Sales tax table.
5. Start adding and syncing products
You can now use Printful’s Design Maker to create products and publish them directly to your eBay store.
Note on eBay fees:
eBay charges two main types of fees - for listing and for sold items. You get up to 250 free listings per month, and after that, insertion fees start at $0.35 per listing. When your item sells, you'll pay a Final Value Fee - a percentage of the total sale (item price, shipping, tax) plus $0.30 for orders under $10 or $0.40 for orders over $10. Fees vary by product category; for most categories, it's approximately 13.6% up to $7,500, plus a lower rate beyond that. Learn more about this here.
