When you're setting up your store or browsing the product catalog, you can choose a Default Selling Region (DSR) to make it easier to find products that are most relevant for your customers. We recommend picking the region where most of your customers are located, such as the United States, Canada, Europe, or Worldwide.
DSR filters products based on where they can be fulfilled. It shows products that are:
- Fulfilled from domestic fulfillment centers
- Fulfilled from nearby regions if there are no domestic options
- Unique items with no close regional alternatives, even if they’re shipped from farther away
Note: Choosing a selling region doesn’t guarantee that all products will be fulfilled domestically. Products that don’t match your selected region are hidden, but those with similar shipping logistics may still be shown.
Account-level DSR preference
This preference affects your overall Printful browsing experience. When you visit Printful for the first time, we automatically assign a selling region to your account based on your location. You can later adjust this manually to match your target market.
The account-level DSR determines:
- Which products are shown in the Product catalog
- Which product variants are available when viewing the product page
- What products you can add to the cart when placing personal orders
To change your account-level DSR preference:
- Go to your Printful Dashboard and click the Preferences button on the top right of your screen.
- Expand the Global default selling preferences section.
- Choose a region from the drop-down menu and click Apply changes.
Store-level DSR preference
Each connected store in your account has its own selling region setting. This preference determines which products you can add to your store and affects the product stock sync feature. Even if a product appears in your catalog due to the account-level selling region, you won’t be able to add it to your store if it’s not available in that store’s region.
You can update your store’s selling region by going to your Printful Dashboard → Settings → Store settings → General → Store default selling preferences.
How to check where a product is fulfilled
If you want to check whether a product can be fulfilled domestically before adding it to your store, check the Availability tab on the product page.
This tab shows the fulfillment centers where each product variant is available for fulfillment, which is especially helpful if you want to avoid long shipping times or import fees for your customers.
