With the print-on-demand business model, we only fulfill products that are ordered, so keeping excess stock of products that are unpopular or have high damage rates is not viable. We constantly evaluate each product in our catalog and sometimes have to make the decision to stop offering some of our products.
Most common discontinuation reasons are:
- The product variants are slow-selling and unpopular
- There’s a high damage rate
- Our suppliers are discontinuing the product
- Our suppliers have unreliable stock
The good news is that by phasing out some less popular items, we have the capacity to offer new products that have the potential to become your new bestsellers.
What should I do when I receive a notice that a product will be discontinued?
Before any products are discontinued, you’ll receive a 20-day notice in your email and Dashboard. During those 20 days, we advise you to remove the product variants from your store and find suitable alternatives in our Product Catalog to replace the discontinued products.
Can I delete all discontinued product variants from my store at once?
Currently, 2 of our integrations (Shopify and WooCommerce) support deleting all discontinued product variants at once.
To bulk delete all discontinued product variants, go to the Discontinued tab in the Store view, click on the three dots on the right, and press on Delete all discontinued variants.
