API v2 is the next major version of Printful’s API and is now available in Open Beta. All endpoints in v2 can be used in a live environment, but the version is still being refined—so small adjustments may be made before the final release. No breaking changes are expected.
What’s new in API v2
Orders
- Flexible order creation: build the order object first, then add items separately.
- More detailed shipment tracking, including estimated delivery dates, departure country, and tracking events.
Webhooks
- HTTPS enforced for secure data exchange.
- Request signing and optional expiration dates for added protection.
- New events, such as price change notifications and real-time stock updates.
Catalog
- Extended product data with advanced filtering.
- Digital Sales Report (DSR) support.
- Expanded image and pricing endpoint data.
General improvements
- All timestamps use the ISO 8601 format and UTC time zone.
- Faster response times across all endpoints.
