Managing your store's cash flow is simple once you understand the process. Every Printful order involves two separate transactions:
- Your customer pays you through your online store or marketplace (e.g., Shopify, Etsy).
- Printful charges your Printful Wallet or primary billing method to fulfill that order.
The difference between what your customer pays you as the seller and what Printful charges is your profit.
To accept payments from your customers
You’ll need to set up a third-party payment processor on your store (e.g., Shopify, Etsy) so that customers can check out and pay you directly. Here are a few options you can use:
- PayPal
- Braintree
- Authorize.net
- Your store platform’s native payment service. For example:
- Shopify Payments if you use Shopify
- Follow Squarespace’s Help Center recommendations if you’re using Squarespace
Setting up your payment processor is essential; Printful can’t collect payments from your customers on your behalf.
