In certain states, specific types of clothing are exempt from sales tax, and that includes many Printful products. Currently, six states where we’re registered have tax laws that exempt items like leggings, shorts, rash guards, and sports bras from sales tax.

Here’s a breakdown of where and how these exemptions apply:

Clothing is non-taxable if the retail price is $175 or less per item.

Keep in mind:
- These exemptions apply only to qualifying clothing items. Accessories, home products, and other non-apparel items (like totes and bags) are still taxable.
- If your order includes both taxable and non-taxable items, tax will be applied only to the taxable portion.
