We’re updating the standard front print area for some direct-to-garment (DTG) products! The new print area size is 15″ × 18″, which gives you more room for your designs, without any extra cost. This upgrade replaces the previous 12″ × 16″ front print area and is being rolled out gradually to select products and sizes.
This new print area makes it easier to create bold, eye-catching designs while keeping your costs the same.
What do I need to do?
If you sell through an integrated store (like Shopify, Etsy, etc.), you don’t need to make any changes—your existing products will stay as they are.
Want to take advantage of the larger print area? You can! Just check which products and sizes support the new 15″ × 18″ placement and update your designs accordingly.
What’s changing for API users?
Starting May 17, 2025, we’re discontinuing the old placement name “front” in our Catalog API endpoints for creating new products. Here’s what that means:
- For existing products: No changes needed. They’ll still work, and any updates will automatically switch to the new “large_front” placement.
- For new products: Use the “large_front” placement name instead of “front.” You can find this placement in the Catalog API.
Want more details? Check out our Help Center article for API users.
Which products are getting the upgrade?
The new 15″ × 18″ print area is available for:
- Unisex Tri-Blend T-Shirt | Bella + Canvas 3413 (sizes L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL)
- Unisex Staple T-Shirt | Bella + Canvas 3001 (sizes L, XL, 2XL, 3XL, 4XL, 5XL)
We’re working on expanding this to more products, so stay tuned!
What’s next?
We’ll keep updating our catalog to support the larger print area. To stay up to date, check the file guidelines for each product or follow our product updates.
