If some Etsy listings are missing from your Printful Dashboard, it’s likely due to their listing status. Here’s how product syncing works and what you can do to make sure your products appear correctly.
How listing status affects syncing
Etsy listing statuses determine whether or how quickly items sync with Printful:
- Active: These listings sync automatically and appear in your Printful Dashboard right away.
- Draft, Inactive, or Expired: These are synced only once a day, and only the first 1,000 listings (excluding variants) are included in that sync.
- Sold out: These listings are not synced to Printful at all.
Where to check your product status
You can see the status of your Etsy listings in two places:
- Etsy: Go to Shop Manager → Listings to see whether each product is marked as Active, Draft, Inactive, or Expired.
- Printful: In the Dashboard, go to Stores, click on your Etsy store, and review the product list (or My products → Published). The status shown reflects what’s currently on Etsy.
How to make sure products appear
To ensure that all your Etsy listings sync with Printful:
- Set listings to Active in your Etsy shop. This is the only way to guarantee immediate syncing.
- Draft, Inactive, or Expired status: only the first 1,000 listings will sync each day. You may need to wait or manually update the status.
- Sold-out listings won’t sync and must be restocked and set to Active.
Why this matters
Keeping listings synced is important for order fulfillment. If a product isn’t connected to Printful, it won’t be fulfilled automatically. Regularly checking both your Etsy Shop Manager and Printful Dashboard helps prevent issues and ensures everything runs smoothly.
