When you sell on Etsy, each listing needs to have estimated delivery details. These are required for all products that ship from the US. If your shipping profiles don’t include this information, your listings won’t be renewed automatically.
What Etsy requires
Here’s what needs to be included in every Etsy shipping profile:
- Delivery company (“Other”)
- Origin postal code (use 28273 for US origin)
- Estimated delivery time (varies by region)
These values are automatically added to Printful-generated shipping profiles. That means when you publish a new product through the Printful Dashboard, all required delivery details will be included.

Keep in mind, these are just shipping times. You’ll also want to account for the fulfillment time, which is typically 2–5 business days.
Editing your shipping profile
If you need to change any delivery details, don’t edit the shipping profiles created by Printful. Any changes will be overwritten during the next sync. Instead:
- Create a new shipping profile on Etsy
- Enter the required information manually
- Assign that profile to the right listings
To create a new profile:
- Go to Settings → Shipping settings in your Etsy account
- Click Shipping profiles, then Add a shipping profile
- Enter your delivery details
For the delivery company, “Other” will typically appear by default - keep that selected if you see it. If it’s not available, simply choose the most similar carrier option based on shipping speed for your products. For the origin postal code, we recommend using 28273 (our North Carolina facility). Printful’s average processing time is 2–5 business days.
