If you want to sell a single product in multiple colors with a unique design for each, you can easily do so after publishing the item. While the Product Push Generator initially applies one design across all variants, you can manually update the print files for specific colors once the product is synced with your store. Here’s how to manage your designs.
Step 1: Create and publish the product
In the Printful Dashboard, create a new product with all the color variants you plan to offer. Upload your initial design and publish the product to your store.
Step 2: Edit print files for specific color variants
Locate the product in your store and click Edit.
In the edit view, select the color variants you want to assign a different design to and click Change print file. You can use the Filter by color tool to select variants in bulk.
Delete the original design and upload the new design you’d like to use for those variants (or just change the layer color if using text or cliparts), click Proceed to mockups, and then Continue.
The print files for the variants should now be updated and reflected in the edit view. Repeat the steps for other color variants.
Step 3: Update mockups if needed
- If you’re using Shopify, Etsy, WooCommerce, Wix, or Squarespace, the mockups will update automatically.
- For other integrations, download the updated mockups and upload them manually to your store platform.
