If your tracking page looks empty right after your order ships, don’t stress—this is totally normal. It usually takes a little time for tracking updates to appear, depending on the carrier and shipping route.
When to expect tracking updates
- It can take up to 48 hours for tracking details to show up in the carrier’s system after the package has shipped.
- Tracking for international shipments may take longer to update, depending on the destination and carrier.
- Orders from our Tijuana facility in Mexico: These are first shipped to the U.S. and sorted at our San Diego facility, so there can be an extra day before tracking updates become available.
How to check if tracking is available
If you’re unsure whether tracking should be visible yet, you can:
- Check the tracking link from the order view in your Dashboard → Orders.
- Enter the tracking number directly on the carrier’s website. Sometimes updates may appear there before they do on the Printful tracking page.
Tip for managing customer expectations
To help avoid confusion, consider adding a note in your order confirmation emails letting customers know that tracking may take a couple of days to appear. This helps set clear expectations from the start.
