To sell certain types of products on TikTok Shop, you’ll need to go through a category qualification process. These products fall under TikTok Shop's restricted products policy, which means they require pre-approval before listing.
In this article, you’ll find the following product categories, for which you’ll require category qualifications:
Kids’ fashion
Kids' fashion encompasses clothing, swimwear, footwear, bags, and accessories designed for children aged 12 and under, ranging from infants to pre-teens.
As a reseller, you’ll need to submit:
- Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
- Product tracking label
- Purchase invoice

Baby & maternity
Baby and maternity products include a wide range of items designed for infants and toddlers up to age three, as well as for expecting and new mothers (e.g., soft toys, clothing).
As a reseller, you’ll need to submit:
- Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
- Product photos (include tracking label)
- Purchase invoice

Toys & hobby
In this section, we’re focusing on non-electric children’s toys such as soft toys and puzzles.
As a reseller, you’ll need to submit:
- Children's Product Certificate (CPC)

Documentation requirements
Purchase invoice
An order invoice from Printful containing the product you’re looking to list can be used for category approval.
Use an invoice from a past customer order or sample order, regardless of the sales channel. You can download it from the Billing → Payments section of your account.
Children's Product Certificate (CPC)
To request a Children's Product Certificate (CPC) for the relevant product category, please get in touch with our Support Team.
Product tracking label
The product tracking label should be affixed to the product, display the manufacturer's name, and include the location and date of production.
If the category you’re applying to requires you to submit photos of the product tracking label, you’ll need to place a sample order for an item from this category. Once received, you can take pictures of the affixed label and submit them along with your restricted product category application. Product photos
After you’ve created the product in your store on Printful, you can download the product mockups. Alternatively, you can take pictures of the products you’ve ordered for yourself. Include images that show all sides of the product.
