Thinking about selling on TikTok Shop? We’ll walk you through account creation, identity verification, and payment setup; everything you need to start selling in the US or UK.
Log in with your existing TikTok account, or register a new one here for the US and here for the UK, using a phone number or email address. Once registered, you’ll verify your identity, upload your bank info for payouts, and you’re ready to start selling.
Step 1: Create your TikTok Shop account
- Go to TikTok Shop Seller Center, then sign in or register using your TikTok account, email, or phone.
- Select your shop region (US or UK) and click Enter.
- Choose a seller type: Individual or Business.
- Confirm eligibility; you must be at least 18 years old and a legal resident in your selected market.
Step 2: Set up warehouse & return addresses
- Navigate to My Account → Account Settings → Warehouse Settings in Seller Center.
- Enter the full Pickup/Warehouse Address using the appropriate Printful facility address (not a P.O. box), including the street address, postcode, your name as the contact person, and your phone number. TikTok requires a physical address for fulfillment, so make sure to use Printful’s facility in your selling region.
- Optionally, set a Return Warehouse Address or mark the pickup address as the return address by checking Set as return address.
- Agree to the terms and click Start Your Business.
Step 3: Submit identity verification documents
- After address setup, submit verification documents:
- Individual sellers: upload government-issued photo ID (passport, driver’s license, or national ID). Both front and back may be required. Documents must be clear, valid, and in accepted formats (JPEG, PNG, or PDF under 10 MB). Your ID name must match your account and bank details exactly.
- Business sellers: upload a government-issued ID for the legal representative plus official business documentation (certificate of incorporation, business license, or equivalent). These must include the legal business name, address, business type, and tax ID or legal identifier (such as EIN in the U.S.).
Step 4: Link your bank account
Once your documents are approved:
- Go to the Seller Center homepage and click Link Bank Account.
- For individuals: use a personal bank account matching your verified name.
- For businesses: use a business account matching the registered company name.
- Provide account name, bank name, account number, address, and email, then click Submit, and wait for confirmation.
Step 5: Connect your TikTok video account (recommended)
Link your TikTok Official Account to ensure your Shop appears on your TikTok profile:
- In Seller Center, go to My Account → Linked Accounts.
- Click Link, scan the QR code via the TikTok mobile app, review and approve terms, and finish the linking process.
Once linked and products are approved, your “Shop” tab will appear in your TikTok profile and video bio.
Step 6: Connect your TikTok Shop to Printful
Now that your TikTok Shop is set up, go to your Printful Dashboard → Stores → Choose platform → Click Connect under TikTok. Or follow this link to go directly to the connection page.
Final steps
- Double-check that all names and information across documents, the TikTok account, and the bank account match perfectly.
- Once approved, you can start pushing products; ensure product names meet TikTok’s guidelines (e.g., required length).
- When your store is active, connect your Printful account and begin listing products for fulfillment.
Why meeting these requirements matters
- Identity and account verification protect your account - TikTok reviews personal and bank information carefully to prevent fraud and comply with regulations.
- Accurate documentation ensures the payout process and maintains account health.
- Inconsistencies or missing information can delay approval or block your ability to sell.
