TikTok Shop currently does not support cross-border sales. This means:
- If you’re selling in the US, your products must be fulfilled and shipped in the US.
- If you’re selling in the UK, your products must be fulfilled and shipped in the UK.
Printful automatically filters product availability based on your TikTok Shop’s location, so you’ll only see products that can be fulfilled from your region when adding them to your store. You won’t need to manually check which products qualify.
Why cross-border listing isn’t allowed
TikTok enforces local fulfillment requirements tied to seller location and local logistics capabilities, especially when using the Shipped by Seller model. They require inventory management and shipping to occur legally within the same region as the storefront.
For now, TikTok restricts product listing to goods sourced and shipped from the same country as the store, either the US or the UK. This ensures reliable shipping, returns, and compliance with regional regulations.
What about international or cross-border models?
TikTok Shop does offer international fulfillment through programs like Global Shipping, Fulfilled by TikTok (FBT), and Platform-Operated Platform (POP). However, these options are only available to select sellers; usually high-volume brands or those invited to join logistics programs in specific regions.
If you’re using Printful, which operates under the “Shipped by Seller” model, cross-border sales aren’t supported. You can only list products that are fulfilled and shipped from within your TikTok Shop’s registered market (US or UK).
What can happen if you try to sell products from outside your region?
- TikTok will block or hide products that don’t meet fulfillment location rules.
- Even if listed, orders may fail to sync, be canceled, or be unfulfilled.
- This can potentially impact your metric health (cancellation rate, shipping delays, etc.).
