Before you can list any products, you must create and publish a shipping template in TikTok Seller Center. Products can’t be added until this step is completed.
To set up shipping, first create a warehouse in TikTok Seller Center. Then enable Seller Shipping for that warehouse and create a shipping template for it. Any products assigned to this warehouse will use the shipping rates defined in the template.
Shipping setup works slightly differently for US and UK sellers. Follow the steps outlined for your region below.
For US-based sellers
Step 1: Add warehouse addresses
In Seller Center, go to Logistics → Warehouses.
Add a Pickup Warehouse and a Return Warehouse. Use the same address or choose unique locations.
- We recommend using Printful’s US facility:
Steele Point Industrial Park, 11201 Ed Brown Rd, Unit A, Charlotte, NC 28273
Step 2: Enable seller shipping
- Go to Logists → Shipping.
- Click Switch option next to TikTok Shipping.
- If you have multiple Warehouses, repeat this for each of them.
Select Seller Shipping and click Confirm to save your choice.
This is essential - without enabling it, Printful won’t receive shipping details and orders can’t be fulfilled.
Step 3: Create a shipping template
- Go to Logistics → Shipping → Select your warehouse.
- Click Create in the Shipping Templates section.
Enter your shipping template name (e.g., "T-Shirts"), then choose Quantity‑based. Select a warehouse that this shipping template will apply to.
Use Printful’s shipping costs to set rates per quantity range. E.g., $4.75 for 1 shirt, + $2.20 for each additional shirt.
Make sure your delivery regions cover all serviceable areas (including Alaska, Hawaii if applicable). Set rates, review costs, then Submit the template.
Once the template is live and Seller Shipping enabled, your TikTok Shop is ready to link with Printful and accept products for fulfillment.
For UK-based sellers
Step 1: Add warehouse addresses
- Go to My Account → Account Settings → Warehouse Settings.
- Add both Pickup Warehouse and Return Warehouse addresses. These can be the same.
Step 2: Enable seller shipping
- Visit Orders → Shipping settings.
- Disable “Shipped by platform” (TikTok Shipping), and enable “Shipped by seller”.
This ensures TikTok uses your custom shipping template and that Printful can fulfill the orders.
Step 3: Create a weight-based shipping template
- Go to Shipping settings → Manage shipping fee template, and click Add new template.
- TikTok UK requires weight-based templates:
- Assign arbitrary weights to product groups (e.g., t‑shirts, mugs, hoodies) to match your internal shipping cost bands.
- Example: T‑shirts: 0–0.1 kg at £3.59; mugs: 0.1–0.2 kg at £3.99; hoodies: 0.2–0.3 kg at £4.99.
- Click Submit to save the template.
Step 4: Apply product weights
For each product in your TikTok dashboard:
- Go to Products → click Edit on the selected product → Shipping.
- Set Product Weight (kg) to match the highest value of your shipping rule (e.g., 0.1 kg for shirts).
- Choose Custom delivery options and check Shipped from seller.
- Click Update.
Final checklist
- Warehouse addresses are set in the Seller Center.
- Seller Shipping enabled (not platform shipping).
- Shipping template created and submitted.
- Product weights are properly assigned (for the UK).
TikTok requires these steps to import orders correctly and ensure Printful can fulfill print-on-demand orders promptly. Missing or incorrect setup can cause product upload failures or order syncing errors.
