To manage order processing and fulfillment in Shopify, go to Shopify admin > Settings > General > Order processing and edit the After an order has been paid section.
If you want the orders to be fulfilled automatically by Printful, select the first option:
- Automatically fulfill the order’s line items. This way, Printful will be able to automatically import and fulfill the order.
If you want to manually request the fulfillment by Printful for each order, select:
- Do not automatically fulfill any of the order's line items. You’ll see a Request fulfillment button when viewing your order in the Shopify admin. Once you push the button, Shopify will request Printful to fulfill the order. Printful can either accept or reject the order, and once it’s accepted you’ll see the order on your Printful Dashboard.
If you’re not able to set the Automatically requesting order fulfillment option on Shopify, you can get your orders automatically fulfilled on Printful’s side:
- On your Printful Dashboard, go to Settings > Stores > Orders > Sync as you go, and check the box Automatically import orders with sync products
- Once you enable it, we’ll fulfill all orders with synced products, overriding any apps that may interact with orders.
