There are two ways to add products fulfilled by Printful to your Shopify store:
- Add products directly from your Printful Dashboard
- Create products on Shopify and then sync them to Printful manually
Add products from your Printful Dashboard
This method is recommended if you want to create and customize your Printful products from scratch and automatically publish them to your Shopify store.
How to do it:
- In your Printful Dashboard, go to Stores (or My products → Published) and select your Shopify store.
- Click Add product or Create product.
- Choose the product category (e.g., t-shirts, hoodies), model, colors, and sizes.
- Select the customization type (e.g., DTG, DTFlex, Embroidery)
- Create or upload your design in the Design Maker.
- Click Proceed to mockups or Continue to select your product visuals:
- Choose your main and additional mockups.
- Select the placements.
- Select the file format: JPG (smaller file size, faster store loading) or PNG (supports transparent backgrounds).
- Add a product video, if available.
- Click Continue to edit your product title and description.
- Click Continue to set your retail prices and profit.
- Click Submit to store or Continue to publish the product directly to your Shopify store.
Once submitted, your product will appear on your Shopify store, fully configured with mockups, descriptions, and pricing.
Add products on Shopify and sync them to Printful manually
If you prefer to create products directly in your Shopify Admin (for example, if you already have an established workflow or use apps to create listings), you can still sync them with Printful afterward.
How to do it:
- Create a new product in your Shopify Admin as you normally would.

Make sure you have enabled Import existing products under Settings → Store settings → Orders → Sync as you go:
- In your Printful Dashboard, go to Stores, select your Shopify store, and click Refresh data to sync your latest Shopify products.
- Go to your Printful Dashboard → Stores and click View store (or My products → Published).
- Locate the product you want to sync:
- If it’s visible in your product list, click Edit → Choose product.
- Or, if it’s under the Imported tab, click Sync product.
- For each variant, assign the correct product details:
- Category
- Model
- Color
- Size
- Upload your print file and select mockup images.
- Complete the sync process. Your product will now be connected and ready for fulfillment.
Once synced, Printful will be able to fulfill these products automatically.
