To make sure your Shopify orders are processed smoothly, you need to set up a billing method on your Printful account. Once that’s done, any new orders from your Shopify store will automatically appear in your Printful Dashboard, and your selected billing method will be charged for fulfillment and shipping. You won’t need to submit payments for these orders manually, unless you select that in the order import settings.
Add a billing method to your account
Your billing method is how Printful charges you for fulfilling your Shopify orders. You can add credit or debit cards, as well as PayPal.
- In your Dashboard, go to Billing → Billing methods.
- Click Add new billing method.
- Fill in the required information.
- Click Add.
Assign a billing method to your Shopify store
If you want to use a specific payment method just for your Shopify orders, you can add another billing method to your account following the steps explained above. Once that’s done:
- In your Billing methods settings, find Store billing settings.
- Use the dropdown menu next to your Shopify store to select the billing method you want to use.
That’s it! Your Shopify orders will now be charged to this billing method.
How the charges work for Shopify orders
When a customer places an order on your Shopify store, they pay you directly. How and when you receive those funds depends on your Shopify payments setup. You can learn more about configuring payments in Shopify here.
Printful then charges you separately for fulfillment and shipping through the billing method you selected. This allows you to manage your profits while making sure your orders are automatically processed.
